True Tales of the Silver Fox
And we are friends now. After forty issues, many of which I pour my whole self onto the page, it feels that way to me. I had a hunch email would be an interesting format to create a community, and that’s been true in ways I couldn’t have predicted.
Behind the scenes I’ve been investigating my options to give you the opportunity to support my work. I’m pleased to say the platform on which I send my writing to you is going to help me do just that by offering a free and more robust paid version. I’ll be rolling out the changes over the next few weeks.
My future work will incorporate travel, photography, maybe even video. In the meantime your feedback would be helpful.
If I may be so bold, I’d like to hear from you now. Just hit reply.
  • What has this digest meant to you?
  • What topics resonated?
  • What compels you to read my work?
  • Is an essay a week more than you can get to, or not nearly enough?
The complexities of being an (almost!) forty-seven year-old woman require a good bit of thinking and sorting. Writing allows for the nuance of expression. Creating an avenue for financial support means I can fully commit to the process.
I am honored that you take the time to read. It’s a boost, a bright spot. Like the painter who can’t function without pouring himself onto the canvas, I feel compelled to write. To document the experience of this life as best I can, while I can.
Signed,
Blooming
